Megawatt Africa Portfolio

Megawatt Kenya 2027

Power and energy exhibition · 12-14 May 2027 · Bomas International Convention Centre, Nairobi

Megawatt Kenya brings the power and energy supply chain together in Nairobi for three days. Four product groups carry the exhibition: solar energy, wind power generation, power equipment, and energy measurement — the modules, turbines, transformers, switchgear and metering a project needs before it can be built, and the monitoring that keeps it running afterwards.

It is held at Bomas International Convention Centre, 12-14 May 2027, in the same week and at the same venue as China Trade Week Kenya, so a buyer travelling to Nairobi can walk more than one show on one trip.

Megawatt is organised by MIE Events, part of MIE Groups, the exhibition organiser headquartered in Dubai. The brand runs three editions: Ghana and Kenya in 2027, Morocco in 2026.

Why exhibit, why visit

For exhibitors

Why exhibit

Kenya buys generation, grid equipment and metering through utilities, independent power producers, EPC contractors and distributors at the same time, and an exhibitor meets all four in the hall.

  • Reach the people who specify equipment for Kenyan projects, not only the resellers.
  • Show solar, wind, switchgear, storage and metering in one hall.
  • Stand space is confirmed against the floorplan; your profile joins the exhibitor list on this site.
  • The invitation campaign and the buyer promotion are run by the organiser.

For visitors

Why visit

Compare generation, equipment and metering suppliers in a single visit, and talk to the contractors and distributors who install and finance projects in Kenya rather than to agents alone.

  • Source across four product groups without travelling between separate suppliers.
  • Meet manufacturers alongside the contractors and distributors who deliver projects here.
  • Conference sessions on generation, grid reliability and industrial power are included with your badge.
  • Bomas is a short drive from central Nairobi and from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
