Become an agent

Represent Megawatt Kenya in the market you already work in

The programme

Megawatt Kenya is introduced to exhibitors and buyer groups in a number of markets by people who live and work in them. An agent is one of those people: a company or an individual with a book of manufacturers, contractors or trade buyers, who can put the show in front of them credibly and keep it there between editions.

The work is two-sided. On the supply side an agent introduces the exhibition to companies that would take space. On the demand side they assemble visitor groups and make sure the people who arrive are the ones the exhibitors want to meet. In return the agent carries the show's material, sells against agreed allocations and is paid on the space and groups they bring in.

Applications are read as they arrive. There is no fixed number of territories or a closing date published here, and the 2027 commercial terms are still being finalised — so an early conversation is more useful than a late one.

What the team looks for

A market you already sell in

You can name the manufacturers, distributors or contractors in your territory who would take space in Nairobi, because you already talk to them.

A record you can show

Past work you can point at — space sold, trade services delivered, groups organised — including the ones that did not go well.

A business that can contract

Your company can sign an agreement, raise an invoice and receive payment in the territory you cover, without a third party in the middle.

One named person

A single contact owns the account on your side, so there is one answer to any question rather than three versions of it.

Agent questions

Is this the same as a sales agent?

They overlap. The agent programme is about representing the show in a market over time, including visitor groups. The sales agent page sets out the narrower commercial arrangement for selling stand space.

Is a territory exclusive?

That is agreed case by case and written into the arrangement rather than assumed. Nothing on this page promises exclusivity for any market.

What do I get to sell with?

The floorplan as it stands, the rates that apply, the visitor and exhibitor material the organiser produces, and a named person at MIE Events to answer for it.
