Why visit
12-14 May 2027 · Bomas International Convention Centre, Nairobi
A visit to Megawatt Kenya is a sourcing trip rather than a day out. The exhibition is grouped by product — solar energy, wind power generation, power equipment, energy measurement — so you can walk one side of the hall for generation, another for the hardware that connects it to the grid, and finish with the metering and monitoring that tells you whether the installation is performing.
The people on the stands are the manufacturers and their regional distributors, not only agents. That matters in a market where the specification is written by the utility, the developer and the EPC contractor together, and where spares, service and warranty are as much of the decision as the equipment itself.
What you can do in a day
Generation, on one side
Solar modules, inverters and mounting, plus wind turbines and their components, with the manufacturers and the regional distributors who support them.
The grid, on the other
Transformers, switchgear, cables, protection, and the metering and monitoring a project needs before it can be commissioned.
The contractors who deliver
EPC contractors, installers and service companies attend as visitors as well as exhibitors, which is where installation and after-sales questions get answered.
One trip, two shows
Bomas hosts China Trade Week Kenya in the same week, so a journey to Nairobi covers both exhibitions on one set of flights.
